Arctic Cat 858 Catalyst Pro-Shift Clutch Kit is engineered to unlock the full performance potential of 2025-plus Arctic Cat Catalyst 858 snowmobiles equipped with ADAPT clutches. Designed through extensive real-world testing, this Pro-Shift system refines clutch engagement, acceleration, and backshift behavior across a wide range of riding conditions and elevations.
The Catalyst 858 platform introduces new clutch architecture, and stock hardware has shown limitations under repeated tuning changes. This kit addresses those weaknesses directly. It includes upgraded T30 helix bolts, replacing the factory hex-head bolts that are known to round off and become difficult to service. Although dimensionally identical to OEM hardware, the T30 design uses a stronger drive interface, making clutch adjustments faster, safer, and more reliable.
Clutching plays a critical role in how efficiently power reaches the track. The Arctic Cat 858 Catalyst Pro-Shift Clutch Kit uses more aggressive helix angles, a revised secondary spring, and a matched primary spring to improve acceleration and backshift response. As a result, throttle input feels sharper, and the engine remains in its optimal RPM range more consistently.
This kit includes PRO-Mag adjustable weights, a custom-machined helix, a new primary spring, and a tuned secondary driven clutch spring. Together, these components allow riders to fine-tune clutch behavior for elevation, riding style, and supporting modifications. Consequently, the sled pulls harder off the line, responds quicker mid-range, and maintains stronger top-end performance.
To ensure proper setup, this clutch kit is offered in multiple configurations:
High Elevation – Optimized for off-trail riding, primarily M models and RIOTs with 1.75″ tracks, typically above 6,500 feet.
Back Country Low – Designed for long-track riders operating from sea level to 6,500 feet, mixing trail and off-trail use.
Low Elevation – Tuned for trail sleds such as ZR and R-XC models from sea level to 3,000 feet.
Installation should be completed by riders or technicians familiar with ADAPT clutch systems. Because clutch tuning is highly dependent on elevation and setup, selecting the correct dropdown configuration is essential. However, once installed, the kit provides enough adjustability to accommodate future modifications.
Stock clutching is designed for average use, not optimized performance.
